Over the years I’ve learned about many ways to set goals through various coaches, programs, and books. Most of those methods have involved defining specific metrics that left me falling short and feeling empty.
I wanted my goal-setting process to be fun and be something I looked forward to sticking with throughout the year. So, I developed my own one-page process!
In this episode, I first provide a foundational framework for how to think about your goals. In a nutshell, the idea is to set yourself up to make progress toward your goals and not worry so much about the metrics!
When you listen, you will also learn about my 4 core goal categories (hint, they each start with a “P”). I’ll have you grab a sheet of paper and create a goals “grid” where you can layout your vision, main action steps, and potential obstacles.
Finally, I provide a 3-step process that will help you keep your goals top of mind and stay on track!
This is the same goal-setting process I use to achieve a big goal, or a small goal.
Make sure and listen to last part of the episode where I share two of my own goals (one personal and one professional) for the new year and walk you through the process!
